OK, you mud-ducks! - So youse guys who are not "au courant" about today's
CB need a little edjumakatin'.
Nobody on the chicken band runs 4W anymore. That's for "mud-ducks". Today,
everyone runs either an "export radio" or more likely a "10M radio". These
radios put out anywhere from 40W to over 200W, depending on the model.
The Galaxy DX 98VHP ,

puts out 200W. Linear amplifiers from any number of sources are so
common, virtually every dedicated CB'ers has one. These range from 200W
all the way to 15,000W or more. I kid you not! If required, I can
point you to several manufacturers with on-line sites. Since these power
levels are now common, antenna manufacturers have followed suit and now
rate their antennas in kilowatts and more. The more popular antennas are
routinely rated for 5000W. Some mobile antennas can handle from 10KW to
25KW.
This ain't yer Gandpaw's CB anymore!!!
