Yes, that was my recollection too, Jay, although the memory fogs after 
the passing years. I went down for the festivities when the station 
arrived at W1AW and operated it myself at that time. Lots of New England 
hams converged there for the event, and some from farther away. Ed Hare, 
W1RFI, took us ALL out for lunch at his own expense (not the league's).
