[AMRadio] FW: AM Station at W1AW

Have you heard anything on 14.286 in the past few years? It was active here 
on the LEFT COAST until about 5 years ago then it dried up and the SSB 
people moved in.

Using a older tube pi network transmitter is like driving a stick shift.
You can enjoy it after you use it a while and you never forget, just maybe
have trouble remembering after a while. I miss my old boatanchors.
But had to lighten the load when moving.
BTW, I monitor 14.285 listening for AM stationswhen 20 is open.

Yet it's amazing just how fast someone picks it up once they get
interest in AM and/or old gear.

The fact that new rigs don't require it doesn't mean everyone
shouldn't know the basics of how a transmitter tunes. IWho knows when
it might come in handy? In my opinion, of course.
