It will settle down fine on its own. Someone saying something stupid
on a list doesn't make it a 'boob sheet', or every list on here would
qualify. This is a result of private replies being routed to the list
vs. individual. In this case, it's just as well it got out for all to
see so that it could be rectified and not end up as yet another false
rumor spread in private through the AM or other communities. We have
more than enough drama just dealing with the crap that's true.

I met Ron for the first time in 2009 at Shelby and saw him again this
year. Haven't spent the time with him that others have, but have read
his posts and old radio pages for hours. He strikes me as a great guy
who loves the hobby and devotes a lot of *his* personal time to
providing information that others can use.

He's also very BIG, like a mountain of a man. I'm 6' 2" and feel small
next to him. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a round
house from Ron! Thankfully he appears to be quite docile and friendly,
as long as you're not between him and a table with something
manufactured by Clough-Brengle.  (o:

I'm sure Bob regrets making the statements he made in the way he did.
Nothing is a better teacher in these types of matters than actually
stepping right in it and having to see the results. It tends to make
you look at things much more closely before offering commentary. It's
also a good reminder that this is a hobby, not a requirement.
