[AMRadio] New to AM

As an Addition to What Bob said,
This is true, having the complete system, and using it for what it was
designed for,
the WARRIOR works just fine. Funny (Read cool to some) sounding descriptions
are not a good qualifier for the radio system. That being the Apache, SB-10,
and
the Warrior. The amplifier (Warrior) was intended to give a bigger signal to
the
Apache when in SSB mode! I might add here that an Apache in CW mode with
the Warrior amplifier is quite the formidable signal on CW. Remember working
with one is better than guessing.
Most folks can't tell the difference between a "rice-box" and that setup
when they
hear it on the air, properly adjusted for the "MODES" in question.
I preferr my setup Apache, SB-10 and Warrior, to the Marauder, and Warrior
setup in AM mode. Maybe I just like the "Weight", and that is the pardon
(BIAS)
towards the system! FWIW

*IF* one were to go back and refer to the picture of THE Station that
Jerry was pointing out to us, The warrior is ideal NOT for the Apache AM
output, BUT for the SB-10 SSB adapter that was part of the WHOLE!
Let's keep him educated "properly", NOT with mis-guided views based upon
"wording".
The Apache will do great when modified for the audio issues. That is a
plate modulated rig. My opinion, for what it is worth, it's as good as
a DX-100, and uses a easier tube line-up.
The SB-10 can be connected between the Apache and the Warrior for time
he wants to play with SSB.
