I don't know what you mean by service monitor but this setup is
probably the one you ought to use. If you have a separate rx to
listen to yourself off air that can help you check your signal. You
can get a cheap solid state Grundig solid state portable rx off eBay
for $40 to $50. Such a rx is useful for other things like finding
RFI.
