I've run a Viking II mobile, but never entertained the thought of a
DX-100 mobile :-)
The problem with operating mobile, is not generating the signal - that
can be done easily enough.
The problem with operating mobile, is dealing with the NOISE! Power
lines, DC motors, other vehicles, industrial parks, fluorescent/neon
lights... GAHH! NOISE! And, of course, in AM detection mode, the noise
is amplified, unless the station is 40db/S-9
Generating a signal is all well and good, but operating ain't no good if
your 100w is being heard, but you can't hear anyone else :-(
