Speaking of building, there is a new AM transceiver kit: http://smallwonderlabs.com/Retro-75.htm I built it, it works well. I IS very simple, and lacks things like a good agc, variable filter, vfo, S meter. I let small wonder labs know a deluxe kit would sell like hotcakes at a lumberjack convention...
