Good idea, Jim.  I'll have to check that out.  The problem seems to be when
I talk to these fuse manufacturers is the relatively low current rating for
such a high voltage (1.5 amp @ 5kv).  Thanks for the idea.

Something just occurred to me, wonder what kind of wire is in 
fuseable links used on automobiles?

If that is fuse wire, one could buy one and remove a strand or 
whatever you need.  Auto parts stores have several different sizes 
of the fuseable links.

Does anyone on the board know what kind of wire they use?
