John/WA5BXO modified an 830 (or 820) to generate genuine AM.
It doesn't receive AM, but the 4 or 5 watts out of it, drive an SB-200
(pair of 572B's) to around 50 or 60w which then, in turn, drives the
grids of his 250TH final.
