I often listen to the NPR station in Nashville on 1430 kHz AM during the
daylight hours. In the summer months it would begin to fade about an hour
before sunset. As the crow flies, it is about 50 miles away. Lately
reception has been poor all day long, with QSB and interference from distant
stations on the same frequency.
I listened on 160 to-night, but QRN was bad. Lightning map showed a line of
t-storm activity to the southwest, all the way from the Gulf of Mexico to
Arkansas.
