I am working on a home brew 4-250 plate modulated by a pair of 813's. 
 
I haven't got too far yet, but I have accumulated enough parts to make a  
start. 
I'm working on the DC supplies now, and hope to get them and the modulator  
built before long.
 
 
It's going to be a serious "junk yard dawg"  but If it sounds good and  puts 
out some
QRO AM signals then I won't really care what it looks like.
