[AMRadio] R390-a Receiver Dial Indication

I was recently given an R390-A receiver and I noticed something about the
kilocycle dial settings.  On mine the dial oonly tunes from - (minus) 845 to
915. It seems like to me it should cover from 000 to 999?  If I want to
listen to 3.933 Mhz I need to set the megacycle dial to 4 and the kilocylce
dial to negative -.933. Is it possible something is out of track ?
