If the main coil with the tuning capacitor is balanced, and the
antenna/feedline are balanced, it doesn't matter if one side of the link is
grounded, or if the link is balanced and floating free from ground. The
entire link is located at the low voltage point on the main coil, and the
coupling between the coils is purely inductive. You can reverse the leads
to the link and see negligible, if any effect at all, on the balance of the
main coil feeding the open wire line.
