Hi Again,
Further research shows that the 10:1 vernier dial was the PW-D and the other
2 versions were the NPW-O wiich had the gear mechanism parallel to the dial
and the PW-O which had the gear drive perpendicular to the panel. The PW-D
version had the reduction built into the dial and there was nothing behind the
panel. The shaft size was 5/16". There were many other variations, some of which
had capacitors attached. These were the PW and NPW series.
