Hi Don - that's the "guts" of a switch-step attenuator of from 1 to 50
dB.
You insert the network and then operate the switches to 'add up' to the
attenuation value you need - for example to get 6 dB of atten, operate the
switches for the '1', '2', and '3' terminals.... and so on for any value
up to '50' - which would be all switches 'on'. The 'C' terminal is one
"leg" of the network, and all the switches are commoned to form the other
'leg' - with bypasses on other poles if '0' dB is wanted.
