I agree with Ed. I have done the mods for both receive and transmit and 
also installed the INRAD AM filter. I get lots of compliments on the 
audio. I used the rig on 40M for a while, with the FL-2100B. The main 
reason I did the mods was to get on 10M AM, so now if the band would 
just open up.....(8->
