[AMRadio] Bandwidth Petition Withdrawn

This info crossed the qrp-l group last night. I thought it would be of 
interest here as well.


The ARRL has rescinded its petition for rule making to the FCC
requesting regulation by bandwidth rather than mode:

The subject will be reconsidered in the July 2007 ARRL BOD meeting,
so now is a good time to begin formulating your thoughts on the
subject and sending a letter expressing your views to your ARRL
Director and Vice Directors.

The ARRL cited "widepsread misconceptions" about the petition.
