At many of the hamfests around here, and I suspect other places, they have 5 
foot mast sections which easily liide together making a mast as tall as you 
want. They usually have them in aluminum or fiberglass and they senn for $5.00 a 
section. There are several types of bottom mopunting arrangements available 
at reasonable prices and there is even a device that will enable you to make a 
tripof mount if needed. They are great for portable operations, but there is 
no reason why they could not be used for a permanent installation.
