your 4 wire system for 220vac should be black wire 110v red wire 110v white 
wire nrt and green wire ground. use either the black or red wire and the 
green wire. ez way it to take a volt meter and put one lead on the black 
wire and the other lead on the green wire you should read 110 volts ac. of 
course your wire colors may not be the above so just put one lead on the 
black and see what other wire gives you 110 volts ac. be sure your 
voltmeter is set to AC Volts and 300 or higher voltage
