Rick -

If you haven't already, post a query on the amfone board. There are a
few ops over there (Brent W1IA, Keith WA1HZK, and others) who talk on
the air about using these tubes in projects. If they don't have the
experience you're looking for, they can probably point you to someone
who does. There are a good number of folks on there who don't do the
'reflector thing' but check the BBS from time to time.
