[AMRadio] Roller vs Variable

Okay.. I'm just thinking out loud again... what do you guys think about 
these three options for the 1R2 output network:

Standard Pi network using two vacuum variables and a fixed inductor, 
most likely 1L304 or 1L305.  ....or

Pi configuration with using a roller inductor and two fixed capacitors.  
...or

Pi configuration using a fixed capacitor for the input, roller inductor 
and vac variable for the output or visa versa...

Remember, I am only interested in tuning a maximum of 3870 - 3890 kc.
