Jack -- a "reflector" is the function of a mailing
list. You send out your thoughts, they reflect back to
you and everyone else on the list.

One, more formal, definition out there: "A computer
program such as GNU Mailman, LISTSERV or Majordomo
that re-mails electronic mail to a pre-determined
distribution list."

The term dates back quite a while, but maybe it's
archaic now !
