Thanks Glen. I saw a mention of that somewhere. A quick survey of the web shows the following
6AF11-Used by early Yaesu and plans for receiver plublished in Radio-Electronics
6T9-Used in homebrew CW rig
Yaesu FT-DX560 uses compactrons in the final (!?)
6AV11 is supposed to be 1-1/2 12AU7s
6JM6 used in Yaesu FT-100 Transceiver
6AS11 used in Heathkit SB-300 and SB-301 (?)
Does anyone know of any others?

The Heath "single bander" SSB (HW-12, etc.)
transceivers used compactrons.
Also, General Electric used a lot of them in the
MASTR-Professional two-way commercial FM equipment.

I know that Heathkit used some in their later
gear--one of the SB-6xx 'scopes had one in it. I have
an RTTY TU that uses one. Other than that, I am
compactron-illiterate.
