I'm using that DDS VFO in my latest project, a 40m CW transceiver I call the "IC-21X" (since I built it into the cabinet of an old Icom IC-21 base station rig.  It really works great - I cannot believe how good that DC receiver performs when the LO is so stable!  You can see my rig at
