Manual or copy for the Dentron Super Tuner Plus (note that this is the PLUS model)

Question: Why do I have 2 different manuals for the Eico 722 VFO? Both are dated 1962. Was this offered both built and as a kit? Maybe that would explain it...

Any help appreciated.
