[AMRadio] RIVER RADIO SERVICES - The Vultures resort to direct mailing

I didn't see it as sleazy. All I saw was a business that was offering
to tell you what the stuff was worth (for an appraisal fee of course) so
that the "real" vlutures.....his/her "old friends".....wouldnt walk away
with the plunder as is often the case. Personally I dont need an
appraisal, and I am making sure my wife knows what its all worth. But
if I had died without giving her the information I would expect she
would be wise to seek out the advice of an appraiser prior to selling to
the local ham community who would not argue about giving her $50 for a
Collins 32S-1. When was the last time you heard a Ham say, "Gee, I
think your price is too low, let me give you four times that much."?

On the other hand, I dont think advertising a business belongs on the list.
