[AMRadio] Driving for Treasures

Driving long distances to get radio gear has always been fun.

I am thankful that the YL enjoys the "little road trips."

She has gone on numerous trips with me to pick up stuff. It has always been a
point that we will the travelling as much as I do buying the radio gear.

We have driven from Cleveland to Newington CN. ( KWS1 & 75A4), Butler PA
(hamfests) , Dayton OH (hamvention)twice,  and most memorably was a trip to a
place near Bartlesville OK to pick up a Viking Invader 2000. We stopped in St.
Louis and saw the arch. Later we got off the interstate to drive on what was
then left of Rt 66. We met a bunch of nice people and had a good time.

I think I have stopped collecting radio gear for now as I have much more than I
ever wanted or could possibly use. But I look forward to more road trips with
my travelling partner. Now if I can just teach her how to use the GPS...
