[AMRadio] Johnson Desktop vs Thunderbolt - basically same thing?

Not even close. Two completely different items. One is a Linear Amp only, the other contains Two 4-400A tubes in Class C with two push-pull 810s in Class B as a Modulator. This
makes the "Desk" a High Level AM Plate Modulated Transmitter needing only an Exciter. It will run AB2 for 2kW PEP for SSB and Class C 1kW CW. The only thing in common are the
