Don -
I am a member of AM International. I believe in the mode and its place
in Amateur Radio. Sitting here in my shack I can see several pieces of
"good stuff" glowing. I taught the BC-610 while an instructor at the Army
Signal School. I think I am reasonably familiar with AM operations.

Hi. My name is Don Merz, N3RHT. I am a member of the ARRL Atlantic Division.
I recently received the ballot for Director and wanted to contact you about
an issue dear to my heart.

Specifically, what is your stance on the use of AM on the ham bands? Do you
ever use AM yourself? Do you collect any ham radio history? Are you involved
with any museums or preservation groups?

Please give me your perspective on this so that I can cast my vote
appropriately. Thanks.
