[AMRadio] 10 Meter CW

Can anyone tell me why there is so much CW activity in and around 29.000 this weekend?  I don't keep up with contests and such and I suspect that is the answer.  If that is the case, who is sponsoring the contest?  They all seem to be calling, "CQ TEST".
