I'm more familiar with the 454/455's and they require more drive, thus
easier to use with a real ham rig, or the Uniden 2510/2600
and Realistic clones, and any of the 25W radios.
My experience with the Japanes transistors is limited, and I'm not impressed
with the quality of the amps that use them.
