[AMRadio] QSL cards

WHY does this eQSL thing not qualify?? Never heard of it, but sounds like a
good alternative.
I know it may seem like a lazy way out, but under the circumstances, it does
seem as if it might be more reliable, and a means to speed up the process.
With all headers in place in the email, anyone can verify the validity of it
as well as they could US Mail.
I understand that it may not be as pretty as a REAL QSL card, but at least
your chances of actually getting confirmation and that ultimate award are
greatly improved! As far as faking it, that could just as easily be done
through US Mail too. In the past, I've exchanged QSL card with others via
email, printed them out on my color inkjet on glossy paper and was perfectly
happy.
It just seems to me that whoever decides what's valid and not valid are
doing nothing more than making it a needless chore to simply do the process
of confirmation. It's hard enough to get the contacts on AM or any other
mode for that matter. Validity is something that could be accomplished via
electronic means even more so (or easier) than US Mail. Those with sound
cards could make a short audio clip of the QSO with nothing more than both
stations exchanging call signs to one another. Of course those without
email access would still have to do it the old way.
Maybe the printing companies, US Postal Service, and the Bureau are all in
cahoots!
