I NEVER ground the frames of filter chokes, modulation reactors or
modulation transformers. It puts unneeded electrical stress on the
insulation, which is often little more than paper that may be 60+ years old.
The rubber shock mounts I am using provide electrical and accoustic
isolation for the swinging chokes, which tend to be noisy. My mod xfmr and
reactor are mounted on solid composition insulators.
