Hello all AM'rs!
I am looking for a 455KHz crystal for the home brew receiver.
I tried an experiment using my signal generator set to
455 KHz as a zero beating aid, and found it works very well
for that, and I could also copy cw and ssb as well.

So I figure a 455 KHz crystal oscillator with a level
control (pot with a switch on it) would do well
as a bfo.

I found some places on the web but they mostly sell
high frequency crystals.
I remember some crystal talk on the list lately,
so anyone know of a place that would have an accurate
crystal?
HC51 size or bigger, tube type crystals...

I am also thinking of trading my KWM2a for a 75s1.
Its in fair shape, and WORKS well.

I want to try putting a KIWA filter in a 75s1, since it is small,
stable, accurate, and has an AM position.
A good filter, detector, and outboard audio and it
might be a nice receiver.
I don't use the KWM2A at all....
Anyone want to trade?

Thanks for any info,
Brett
