Snapshot of 80m. activity @ 0500-0520 GMT:

Heavy CW FD activity 3500-3550. Begins to dwindle above 3550; practically 
nothing above 3575. In 15 minutes heard two digital signals just above 3580, 
one CW signal about 3680 and one other inside the Novice band. Much of the 
time NOTHING between 3600 and 3700. Moderate to heavy phone activity 
3750-4000. Despite FD, numerous open spaces above 3900, especially near high 
end of band. Numerous non-FD QSO's observed. "AM Window" frequencies pretty 
much swamped with SSB FD activity, although some AM carriers audible but 
signals not readable here in north-central TN.

Summary: Despite moderate to heavy FD activity on CW and phone, 3575-3750 is 
essentially devoid of amateur signals.
