   Sad to say but it seems like most new hams are the "plug'n play" types.The 
thought of having to work on something would just be out of the 
question.....as most also have memory sense{memorizing questions and answers 
for a ham ticket} and no real sense of electronics to do much of anything 
anymore.
So having that old restored vintage rig gloing on the table or a converted 
broadcast rig in the gargarge probably means nothing to them.
