Russ,
I will look for a metal 6K7 tonight.
I want to accumulate spares for the Scott and the homebrew rx.

The homebrew RX uses the same tubes as the Scott, only with
6 volt filaments. The Scott uses 6, 12, and 25 volt
tubes to get 120V in series along with some resistors...


Some kinds I only have the ones in the home brew receiver, 
and I did not even test them, although I did find a few with 
open filaments in the junk box.

I love those old metal tubes, they have the shields built in!
They should last a long time, they only have 110 volts
on the plates!
Its quite incredible the gain you can get at such a low voltage...
