I am reposting this as I it was bounced back to me for unknown reasons.
This from a respected authority on military radio gear :

Dennis, W7QHO, in Glendale CA advises me that 10 meter tank coil and tuning
units were produced for the BC-610. They were made for the post war
commercially available HT-4 version of the BC-610. He thinks that these
could have been used by the military.

He wrote that both the BC-610 and T-368 had internal exciters. The VFO in
the T-368 is a Collins PTO of excellent quality.

He also questions the need for high power on 10 meters.

My feeling is that it is convenient to have full hamband coverage in a high
power rig just as it is in a low power rig.

I would not denigrate either of the military brute force rigs. If either of
them were immediately available to me, I probably would not have set off to
haul a Globe King back from PA. I did ask around in search of one but got
no good leads. The T-368 sigs from W7QHO and W1ZD and the BC-610 sound from
K7AK are music to my ears out here.

Thanks to W7QHO for the good info.

73,
Damon, W7MD
