Hummm,
What about a bc610?
When did they come on the market?
The t368 also comes to mind, but was likely 'modern'
and in service then.
How much more was the Johnson 500?
I am not sure what these rigs go for NOW, but if you could get
one under $1000.00, they might be a good choice.
In the case of the bc610 and t368, you would hurt
4 men's backs in one shot!
That's what I meant about wimpy.
You stand a good chance of moving a globe king by yourself
if you remove the decks.
With the bc610, just the power transformer is more than
I can manage to just get out of the cabinet of my
homebrew rig, let alone actually get it some place.
You need 4 guys like the rock to move a respectable
AM rig!
Most guys use power equipment I guess...
I don't think that transformer is ever going to leave my basement.
I have no idea how I would get it up the stairs...
