Standing next to, for example, the most worthy spawn of the late Mr
Williamson and his design team at B&W (the T-368 transmitter) AND being
considered in the same price bracket, would place anything ever conjured
up by the late Leo Myerson in an extremely untenable position. May they
both rest in peace.
You could overpay for a Yugo that you found in Hemmings Motor News, too.
But at least you could point to certain design features that harken back
to Fiat, no slouches when it comes to innovation.
What is remarkable about WRL products, other than their refreshing
simplicity and variety of component substitutions? For $1,000- there is
plenty more to expect, even today. Was my point.
Want funky? Then consider any form of BC-610, but that grand will get you
a 'museum quality' BC-610-C, a true work of art from Bill Halligan and his
Hallicrafters team. Gee, I happen to know where one is. :o)
