Hello all AM,ers.
I did some more work on the homebrew superhet.
I got tired of changing plug in coils (quickly),
constantly changing between 80 and 40 meters.

So I removed the octal socket and mounted 3 slug tuned
coils, a switch, and built a small screen around it
all to shield the coils.

The 3rd coil is for 160 meters.
I don't have a 160 meter antenna, so never hear much down there.
What frequencies do the AM guys use down there?

The band switching seems to work very well, but I found out
the source of my warm up drift....its in the coils.
When I switch bands, the 'new' coil has to warm up....

Odd....
