[Alinco] DR-140 Problem

I had an Alinco DR-140 mobile as the radio for my SOMTN APRS mountaintop
digi. The radio failed and it no longer hears well or transmits packets
well. The audio is also garbled but sounds OK if you plug an amplified
speaker into the speaker jack.

Opening it up it appears that a spike of some sort came down the antenna and
there is a component next to the where the antenna coax is soldered to the
board that appeared blistered with a coil of wire wrapped around this
surface mount component that disintegrated. There is a smaller component
right next to it which is labeled "104".

Has anyone run into this problem before? I suspect lightning hit the tower
and a spike came into the radio via the antenna coax. I did not see any
other components that appear to be damaged. Does anyone know what this
component is and where I can order a replacement from?

Since service on radios run around $100 or so, I don't think it is worth
taking it into a service center to have it repaired.

Any help would be appreciated.
