I have a DR-135TP and a DR-435-T + modem (P). I really like them. The 135 have a very good AM receive only beat by the ICOM IC.2200H. The fact it has no fan make it perfect in the shack. The only negative thing I can think of is that is has no soft to program the memories. It has the future N-FM. I am normaly a ICOMer but the menues on the Alinco is very easy to understand. I can only recomend the DR-135 and 435. Also the prize in the US is right. If you want a simple rugged radio for packet connected to the cluster the DR-135TP is the perfect choise. It works very well on phone and is a good competitor to to the other three big ones.

I'm considering purchasing a Alinco DR-135T

and overall likes and dislikes, performance and
etc. Any information would be helpful...
