[Alinco] Why does anyone ship UPS?

Since I am located in RURAL Texas, it is much easier for me to
ship by the U.S. Post Office... The nearest UPS or FEDEX shipping
location is some 30 miles away. But.... I have found the Postal Service
to be cheaper on most things I send out (not BIG packages weighing a
ton), and very reasonable on the delivery. The only thing I have had a
bit of concern with, is their "Next Day Delivery". It just won't happen
for me for some reason. But then again, I guess trying to make it from
here to New York in a day is a bit for my mail carrier to do, and then
report back for regular work :-)
One of the things I see that is a concern, is the shipping and
insurance rates from some of the companies. Thos rates are a bit high at
times, and even vary a lot from one company to another in the same
location. Guess they have to make their profit someplace...
But, if it will support a few jobs, I guess I will pay the rates,
and do without supper a couple of nights :-(
