[Alinco] DR-130 problem

I have this older 2m rig - DR-130. The problem I am having is that the =
rig will receive fine but the main tuning knob will not change =
frequencies or memory channels as long as the microphone is plugged. if =
I unplug the mic the rig is fine for all functions.
I am guessing a short on the mic jack, but I wonder if anyone has had a =
similar problem.
