[Alinco] More help on a 605...

  Greetings, all. It seems that I'm having some problems with
my 605 again.

  During a lengthy QSO on high power, the heat sink got pretty
darned warm. I also noticed that, all of a sudden, the VHF side
became deaf. It transmitted at high power okay, and still does,
but it is really deaf. I had even brought the radio into my shop
and disassembled the VHF board out of the radio. Everything
looks okay (no burned traces) on either side. I'm suspecting 
that either the PIN diode or one of the other transistors that 
are the preamps for the VHF board went bad.

  The UHF side seems completely unaffected.
 
  Any comments or suggestions?
