I have a friend in a third world country who asked me to obtain a handheld
and modify it for 170.975. He saw my handheld last year and asked that I
get one just like it. So, I bought him a DJ-S11T and performed the
modification on the www.mods.dk web page for opening up the transmit and
receive. Unfortunately my DJ-S11T will not go to 170.975. However there is
a note that it is not recommended to retune the VCO. I guess I have to do
just that to keep from eating this unit.

Can anyone help me by indicating what adjustments are necessary to put this
thing on 170.975 transmit? This third world country has not such thing as a
type acceptance and my pal there is using two Icom 2100H transceivers now on
170.975 on which I performed the conversions. The DJ-S11T is attractive
because he only needs it when reporting from rhino tracker back to one of
the vehicles in the hunt to save the rhino.

Can anyone help?
