Importance: High
Short fuse request. Get with me and Marty as soon as possible. This would be a very good opportunity to demonstrate our value in short notice, real world events to the very partners that we’d be serving.

Subject: Volunteer Assistance Needed Monday, May 1st
Good Afternoon Volunteer partners,
I am reaching out because we have received a request from our Emergency Management community for volunteers to support parking operations at the funeral of Deputy Chief Chester T. Lauck. Chief Lauck was the Emergency Management Coordinator for Frederick County.
The funeral planning team has reached out to see if there are any volunteers that would be willing to assist with parking efforts (directing traffic flow, etc.). They have requested 14-30 volunteers to assist in these efforts.
The need is for two shifts at different locations in Winchester, VA.
Team 1 will be at the Church from 0800 for a shift of about 5 hours
Team 2 will be at the cemetery from 1000 for a shift of about 5 hours.
Team Rubicon has agreed to support these efforts, but they are not sure they will have all the volunteers needed.
Do you have any volunteers that would be willing to support these efforts?
If you have volunteers willing to support please reply to me and Vladimir Tamashiro-Loma ([email protected]) before this Sunday, April 30th at noon.
Thank you so much for your support and partnership. I understand that this is not a traditional "disaster" request, but appreciate any volunteers who are able to support our Emergency Management community.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Ligon
