Bjorn,
Our meeting is Friday night.  Do you want to get together before or after the meeting?  I can help you and we’ll have some of our other experts there as well!  I did DStar all through England, Scotland and Ireland.  Linking repeaters is the same syntax for REF, DSC, XRF and XLS so it just depends on how that local repeater is setup.  If you get fouled up, the local admins are usually helpful.  Also recommend you put repeater book on your phone so that you will have a listing of local repeaters wherever you are.
